For the past 30 years access control has been about keeping bad people out and seen as an expense that added little value beyond it’s main utility. But coming out of the pandemic, like everything else, changes that were prevalent before along with new use cases have been accelerated. We have also seen new entrants, a flush of capital, and access control turn into a feature of a much larger value proposition. We not only are keeping bad people out, we are letting the right people in, security includes wellness, and much more. So what does it mean to the commercial real estate technology and innovation industry and what about all the legacy tech installed already?
